Grant Layman

There's a myth on the loose in western culture. This myth claims that teenage rebellion is unavoidable, guaranteed, just something to endure. Not true. With God's grace and careful, consistent parental training, teens can come to see that biblical expectations represent reasonable, attractive, and attainable goals.

By investing in relationships with God, their parents, the church, and godly friends, teens can live lives that are far more rewarding than lives lived under the world's deceptive standards. This series clearly sets forth the marks of a teenager who is wholeheartedly pursuing God, and teaches parents how to walk out their God-given role in stewarding the spiritual health and growth of their children.

Grant Layman is a pastor at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. His responsibilities include the oversight of the church's junior and senior high ministries. He and his wife Karin have four children and reside in Gaithersburg.
